MOSCOW, April 15 (Itar-Tass) - Allegations about any conflicts between the teams of President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry are mere “figments of political analysts,” Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said and described the relations between Putin and Medvedev as working and friendly.
“These are relations between the president and the prime minister and are for the most part based on friendship – it is a secret to no one that they are friends. These are working relations,” Peskov said in an interview with the Sunday Evening program on the Rossiya 1 television channel.
“As concerns their teams, they also have working relations,” Peskov noted. According to the presidential press secretary, people working both in the presidential administration and in the administration of the government are professionals who have and defend their own point of view. “They may agree on many issues and disagree on many issues. When they have differences they may have very heated debates,” Peskov noted. “This is their job.”
“But any talks about a systemic conflict between the Medvedev and Putin teams are mere figments of political analysts,” he stressed.
