ORENBURG, December 17 (Itar-Tass) — Investigative bodies of the Orenburg region have initiated criminal proceedings into a car explosion incident on charges of murder committed in a way which is dangerous to other people.
The incident occurred three kilometers away from the town of Orsk on Sunday morning. A KIA Magentis car that was moving on the Orsk-Aktyubinsk highway went into a ditch and was then caught by fire.
“According to preliminary reports, the fire could have been caused by an unidentified explosive device,” the press service of the Russian Investigation Committee said. Law enforcers found a badly burnt corpse inside the burnt-out car which had received mechanical damage.
“It was impossible to identify the corpse at the scene. Its identity will be established later after the necessary examination,” the press service went on to say.
A certificate of a deputy of the State Duma of the fourth convocation (2003-2007) to the name of Boris Plokhotnyuk were found at the scene. Police questioned eye-witnesses and other people, including those from Boris Plokhotnyuk’s entourage.
