MOSCOW, November 22 (Itar-Tass) — The Zenit Petersburg football club has been handed forfeit defeat in the match with Dynamo Moscow with the score 0:3. This decision was made at a meeting of the Control and Disciplinary Committee (CDC) of the Russian Football Union (RFU) that was held at the FRU building in Moscow, CDC deputy chairman Artur Grigoryants told journalists.

In addition, Zenit will play two matches behind closed doors and pay a fine of 1.13 million roubles.

Dynamo has been fined 630 thousand roubles and will play one match behind closed doors.

The incident occurred last Saturday, on November 17 during the two teams’ match of the 16th round of the Russian Football Championship. The game was stopped 10 minutes before the end of the first half with Dynamo leading 1:0 after someone from among the Zenit fans had thrown a burning flare at Dynamo goalkeeper Anton Shunin, who was hospitalised with a cornea burn.
