BUENOS AIRES, November 11 (Itar-Tass) — The Russian embassy in Chile has confirmed information about missing Russian tourist - 32-year-old Dmitry Sivenkov the search for whom is conducted by Chilean rescuers in the area of the Villarrica volcano.

Russia’s Consul in Chile Konstantin Likurtsev told Itar-Tass by telephone from Santiago that “according to information from the Chilean police, the Russian tourists arrived in Chile this September, maybe he had visited Chile before, but we have no such information.” The Russian diplomat said that “a large-scale search and rescue operation is currently underway” and the embassy “is in constant contact” with the local authorities.
