Criticism of Moscow, Minsk on human rights issue political — Belarusian Foreign Minister

"Attempts at falsifying history have been observed," Vladimir Makei pointed out

MINSK, October 30 (Itar-Tass) — The time has come to focus on the position of those who criticise Moscow and Minsk on the human rights issue for political purposes, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei stated at the opening of a meeting of the two countries’ Foreign Ministries’ boards.

“There is not a single issue on which Russia and Belarus would not have high-level allied relations,” Makei pointed out. “This should work for the promotion of our interests in the international arena.”

“It’s time to focus on the position of those who have criticised us on human rights issues,” the Belarusian foreign minister said. “This is done solely for political purposes. Attempts at falsifying history have been observed. This is unacceptable.” “We will discuss today also the development of the Internet,” Makei added. “This issue acquires importance on the international agenda.”
