Medvedev says new strategy of post-crisis development is needed

Speaking about the global economic situation, the Russian prime minister did not rule out a second wave of recession

SOCHI, September 21 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has urged the international community to pool efforts to elaborate a new post-crisis development strategy.

“We must be more sensitive and make common cause,” Medvedev said on Friday at a plenary meeting of the 11th international investment forum in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi. “No country can now isolate itself even in what concerns particular economic issues.”

Speaking about the global economic situation, the Russian prime minister did not rule out a second wave of recession. In his words, the current negative economic tendencies have already triggered political problems. “A new strategy of post-crisis development is needed,” Medvedev stressed.
