Putin satisfied with APEC summit results, organisation and preparation

The president said Russia had minded fully interests of the APEC countries in formation of the agenda

VLADIVOSTOK, September 9 (Itar-Tass) — Vladimir Putin considers the dialogue during the APEC summit as constructive.

“The most important is the contents of our work – it was constructive, and I am satisfied fully with the results,” Putin told a news conference on Sunday following the APEC summit.

The president said Russia had minded fully interests of the APEC countries in formation of the agenda.

“We were chairing, but we did follow suggestions from the APEC counterparts so that to include the issues important for them,” he said.

“I welcomed very interesting guests, I spoke with constructive opponents,” Putin said. “Our guests appreciated our suggestion to organise the meeting not in a luxury hotel, but in a future students campus. They have appreciated we spent money not for construction of a palace, but for a new international educational and scientific centre.”
