NOVO-OGAREVO, August 31 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Vladimir Putin urged to establish control over the deadlines for the development of new weapons.
“We should supervise constantly how the deadlines for developments and weapon supplies are met and focus on the quality of the produce and the observance of technological standards,” he noted.
The president recalled that the state defence order had been fulfilled with serious problems for the last three years. Most contracts are concluded now, he said. “But the attention to this issue should not be loosened,” he remarked.
Putin also noted that a clear rhythmical financing should be provided as well. “I am aware that the colleagues agreed on the technology of this work, and the most important thing is not to disrupt anything,” Putin said to officials of the Finance Ministry and the Defence Ministry.
