PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, June 24 (Itar-Tass) —— The Sibir Airlines launched regular direct flights between Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Beijing, the Sibir press service reported.

The territorial authorities pin hopes on a new air route to intensify the tourist exchanges between Kamchatka and China. The first flight on the new air route was made on June 23. The flight brought 158 passengers from the peninsula to Beijing.

The weekly flights between Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Beijing will be made on Saturdays, the Sibir press service said. The airbus A-320 will fly on the air route. The round ticket on the air route will cost from 30,000 roubles. The time of the flight will be a little more than five hours.
