MOSCOW, June 12 (Itar-Tass) —— Up to 10,000 participate in the opposition’s march in central Moscow on Tuesday, press service of the Interior Ministry reported.
“At 13:00, the march along Garden Ring began. The march has gathered up to 10,000 participants,” the police said.
Shortly before the beginning of the March of Millions the Solidarnost Movement quoted a similar figure. However, the event’s organising committee reported about 20,000, and coordinator of Left Front Sergei Udaltsov said he had counted about 50,000.
Now the participants are moving along Petrovsky, Rozhdestvensky, Sretensky boulevards to reach Sakharov Avenue, where the organisers had been preparing for a meeting since morning. A stage and AV equipment are ready for the event.
