UNITED NATIONS, May 27 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia has requested the holding of a special meeting of the UN Security Council to listen to a report of UN Observation Mission in Syria head Norwegian General Robert Mood, diplomatic sources told Itar-Tass in Moscow and New York City.

The Russian mission to the UN has just reported that the meeting will start at approximately 11:00 p.m. Moscow time on Sunday.

Earlier the UK demanded an urgent sitting of the UN Security Council over the Friday attack on the Syrian town of Houla, which killed over 90 civilians, among them more than 30 children.

In turn, France posted a draft statement demanding that the Syrian government must immediately stop using heavy armaments in residential areas and pull out forces from there and surrounding areas.
