GROZNY, May 27 (Itar-Tass) — A delegation of prominent Islamic leaders, scholars and Islam researchers arrives in Grozny on Sunday for a meeting, rounding off the international theological conference “Islam doctrine against radicalism”, which will adopt a fetwah, denouncing radicalism.
The conference started its deliberations in Moscow on May 25-26. Forum participants hammered out a single agreed text of a planned theological conclusion.
Guests include leaders of all centralized and regional Spiritual Boards of Muslims as well as prominent scholars and spiritual leaders of Lebanon, Morocco, Yemen, Tunisia, Bahrain, Jordan, Sudan, Indonesia, Chad, Turkey, Malaysia, Iraq, Iran, Uzbekistan and other states.
The fetwah will cover all countries where Muslims live. Provisions of the document will be taught at Islamic institutes and will be part of theological and scientific literature.
The programme of the delegation’s stay provides for a visit to the grave of the first President of the Chechen Republic Akhmat Kadyrov, schools of hafizes in the town of Tsenteroy, the cities of Gudermes and in Grozny.
The conference was co-sponsored by the international centre Al-Wasatyiah (Kuwait), the research and enlightenment centre Al Wasatyiah -Temperance (Russia) and the International Union of Islamic Scholars.
The conference is co-sponsored by the Fund for Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education as well as the Regional Public Fund named after Akhamt Kadyrov.
