MOSCOW, May 17 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev may raise the issue on the creation of a missile defence shield in Europe on the sidelines of this week’s G8 summit at Camp David, the president’s economic aide, Arkady Dvorkovich, told reporters on Thursday.
“The issue of Europe’s missile defence is not on the agenda of the summit. This theme may be discussed only on the sidelines of the summit.”
“In any case these issues will be in the focus of attention of all parties and Russia within the upcoming months and years. We are gradually moving forward, but very, very slowly,” Dvorkovich said.
“But the doors are not closed, there is time to come to agreement: several more years are left to agree,” he said.
