MOSCOW, April 23 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian government has allowed Gazprom to sell natural gas on commodity exchanges.
A resolution, posted on the government’s website on Monday, April 23, allows the natural gas produced by the company and its subsidiaries to be sold on commodity exchanges in the following volumes: up to 15 billion cubic metres in 2012 and up to 17.5 billion cubic metres a year starting in 2013.
The government also instructed the energy minister to take into account the amount of natural gas to be sold at commodity exchanges when drafting and approving Russia’s gas balance.
