TOKYO, April 20 (Itar-Tass) — Body of a woman who had Russian citizenship was found in a private apartment in the downtown area of Yokohama Friday morning.
She died of numerousjn stabs in the chest and belly, police sources said.
They also said the that a registration card of the 19-year-old woman was found in the apartment, but officials declined to release the woman's name.
Police arrived at the apartment shortly after 03:00 hours upon getting a phone call from a Japanese man, who said his Russian girlfriend had cut her hand with a knife.
At the time of reporting, the man was being questioned by the police.
The apartment bloc where the incident occurred is located in one of the most crowded districts of Yokohama where numerous shops and amusement places are located.
