VLADIKAVKAZ, March 15 (Itar-Tass) — Motor service with the Transcaucasia countries was completely closed on Wednesday night because of the deteriorating weather conditions, spokeswoman for the North Ossetian Emergencies Ministry Yulia Starchenko told Itar-Tass.
According to the source, the government emergencies commission of North Ossetia closed to traffic the Georgian Military Road and the Transcaucasian Highway.
‘The Georgian Military Road is closed to traffic because the roadway is covered with snow. There is avalanche hazard also on the Transcaucasian Highway, which connects Russia with South Ossetia. Therefore, it was decided to close the two pass highways until further notice,” the Emergencies Ministry said.
