MOSCOW, February 16 (Itar-Tass) —— The chief executive officer of Russia’s largest air carrier Aeroflot, Vitaly Saveliev, sees nothing terrible in the possibility blogger Alexei Navalny may join the board of directors.
“I am not acquainted with Mr. Navalny in person, but we have a shareholder, Alexander Lebedev, who is free to nominate any candidates,” Saveliev recalled at a news conference at Itar-Tass. “I see nothing terrible about this.”
“Navalny has his own experience, including that of corporate governance, and if that experience proves useful in Aeroflot, he is highly welcome,” he said.
