MOSCOW, December 5 (Itar-Tass) —— The ruling United Russia party is scoring 46.2 percent of the vote in the Russian capital Moscow after 12.97 percent of votes cast in the elections to the Russian State Duma lower parliament house have been counted, chairman of the city election commission Valentin Gorbunov told reporters.
According to Gorbunov, votes have been counted at polling stations equipped with the so-called electronic ballot boxes and at “closed polling stations.”
United Russia is followed by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), which id scoring 21.03 percent of the vote; Just Russia – 12.8 percent; the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) – 11.1 percent; Yabloko – 8.3 percent; Patriots of Russia – 0.86 percent; and Right Cause – 0.33 percent. The turnout was 60.1 percent.
