MOSCOW, December 4 (Itar-Tass) —— The United Russia Party is leading strongly in the elections to the State Duma.
According to the first preliminary results, which the Central Elections Commission has made public at 21.14 Moscow time after about 4.4 million ballot papers had been counted, United Russia gained 44.27% of votes. The Communist Party is coming second with 21.44%, the Liberal Democratic Party – 15.19%, Just Russia – 13.27%, Yabloko – 2.67%, the Patriots of Russia – 1.08% and Right Cause – 0.56%.
