POZDNYAKOVO, Moscow Region, November 12 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization will open up the markets of Belarus and Kazakhstan on the rules of the Organization, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with members of the Valdai discussion club on Friday. He was speaking in reply to a question from a member of the French Academy of Sciences, its lifetime secretary and foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Helene Carrere D’Ancosse.
“We are building an integration association on the WTO principles, and in that context, if the process of Russia’s admission to the WTO is completed in December, while Kazakh and Belarussian partners still remain outside the organization, the rest of the world will be able to operate calmly on the WTO principles on the entire space of the Customs Union,” Putin said.
“I believe this is a great benefit for the economies of partners inside the Common Economic Space and for partners outside it,” he said.
