DUSHANBE, November 11 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Yuri Popov on Friday morning flew from Dushanbe to Moscow for consultations at the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, diplomatic sources in Dushanbe told Itar-Tass.
The source said that an urgent meeting of the Russian diplomatic mission head with Tajikistani President Emomali Rakhmon was held on Thursday evening. “During the meeting the parties discussed issues related to the situation around the fate of the convicted pilots of a Russian airline, including Russian citizen Vladimir Sadovnichy.” The source said that the Russian ambassador will in detail inform the RF Foreign Ministry about his talks with the Tajikistani authorities.
