Italy’s Rototech S.R.L company and the leasing company Centre-Capital signed an agreement on setting up a joint venture for the production of parts for KAMAZ trucks

KAZAN, October 31 (Itar-Tass) —— Italy’s Rototech S.R.L company and the leasing company Centre-Capital signed an agreement on setting up a joint venture for the production of parts for KAMAZ trucks in Naberezhnye Chelny, the KAMAZ press service told Itar-Tass.

President of the Italian company Oreste Accornero and President of the United leasing company Centre-Capital Igor Avanesian put their signatures to the document in the presence of Director General of Russia’s major truck producer KAMAZ Sergei Kogogin, the press service said.

The manufacturing facility will be located in the industrial park Master and will produce a wide range of plastic parts for KAMAZ trucks, an official at the management of the new joint venture (which was named Rototech-Kama) said.

“Products of the new company will allow KAMAZ to resolver strategic tasks for the implementation of key innovations in the creation of automobiles of the new generation,” Accornero said.

As a result, “this will make it possible to increase competitiveness of KAMAZ-manufacturing heavy-duty trucks on the Russian and international markets,” he said.

According to plans, the joint venture will start its commercial production of parts in the second half of 2012, the KAMAZ press service said.

In 2012, the company is expected to produce 60,000 parts for trucks. The facility is planned to achieve its designated capacity in 2013, the press service said.

KAMAZ is Russia’s biggest truck producer.

The company is the world’s eleventh exporter of heavy-duty trucks and eighth producer of diesel engines. The KAMAZ group embraces 150 enterprises located in Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and in non-CIS countries.

In addition, the company is the largest heavy-duty truck producer in Russia. It ranks 13th among the world’s manufacturers of heavy-duty trucks.
