MOSCOW, September 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has brought humanitarian aid to South Ossetia, the ministry’s information department told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

“A Mil Mi-26 helicopter of the ministry delivered 15 tonnes of humanitarian cargo – sugar, canned and other food – to the republic today,” the department said.

On the same day a ministry delegation visited the show of specialized hardware and mobile communication systems in Tskhinvali. “The potential of the Russian and South Ossetian emergency situations ministries was presented on the sidelines of the first Russian-South Ossetian business forum, “Building Modern State Through Efficient Economy. The Russian ministerial delegation was led by chief military expert Col. Gen. Pavel Plat,” the department said.
