US Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis says work to assess the intelligence on the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria’s Douma is still in progress
WASHINGTON, April 11. /TASS/. US Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis said on Wednesday that work to assess the intelligence on the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria’s Douma is still in progress.
"We're still assessing the intelligence - ourselves and our allies. We're still working on this," Mattis said when asked whether there is sufficient evidence to accuse Syrian President Bashar al-Assad of using chemical agents in Douma.
