Boris Johnson added that "there’s some evidence that there has been Russian trolling on Facebook"
LONDON, December 17. /TASS/. The UK’s Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson says he has no evidence of Russia’s meddling with the EU referendum in June 2016.
He has "seen no evidence," he said in an interview with the Sunday Times. "There’s some evidence that there has been Russian trolling on Facebook," he added.
Facebook earlier said in response to the UK election commission that the Internet Research Agency, related to Russia, had spent 97 cents for placing advertising on the social network shortly before the referendum. This money was spent for posting three ads.
Officially, a date of Boris Johnson’s visit to Russia is not announced, but the newspaper says the foreign secretary would fly to Moscow on Thursday, December 21.
