KIEV, December 12. /TASS/. Supporters of Mikheil Saakashvili, ex-Georgian leader-turned Ukrainian opposition politician, plan to hold another mass rally on Sunday, MP of the Self-Help party Semen Semenchenko told NewsOne TV channel.

Saakashvili, who leads the Ukrainian opposition Movement of New Forces and formerly served as governor of Ukraine’s Odessa Region, also plans to appear in the tent camp outside the Verkhovna Rada late on Tuesday, the lawmaker said.

"We are preparing for Sunday, I think veche (popular assembly) will be convened again," the MP said.

Saakashvili was earlier stripped of Ukraine’s citizenship, but he managed to illegally enter the country. After his return to Ukraine, Saakashvili led a rally calling to impeach President Pyotr Poroshenko. On December 8, the politician was arrested and placed into a pre-trial detention center in Kiev. He was charged with assisting members of a criminal organization.

On Monday, Kiev’s Pechersky court rejected a motion of prosecutors and refused to place Saakashvili under house arrest. He was released from custody and the investigation is ongoing.
