MOSCOW, July 3. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has welcomed in the Kremlin his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, who arrived on a two-day visit to Moscow on Monday.

The two leaders shook hands, smiling, in the presence of Russian and Chinese photographers.

Later in the day, Putin and Xi will have an informal dinner.
