Makeshift bomb deactivated at metro station in St. Petersburg

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. The National Anti-Terrorist Committee has confirmed that a makeshift bomb has been found at the Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station in St. Petersburg and disposed of.
"At the Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station in St. Petersburg a makeshift explosive device was found and rendered harmless on Monday," National Antiterrorist Committee spokesman Andrey Przhezdomsky told the Rossiya-24 television news channel. "It was done promptly and professionally."

Earlier, a yet-to-be specified explosive device went off at about 14:40 on a St. Petersburg metro train between the Tekhnologichesky Institut and Sennaya Ploshchad stations. Nine were killed and 20 others injured, the NAC said.
