The attack has left four people dead, including the assailant
CAIRO, March 23. /TASS/. The Islamic State terror group (IS, outlawed in Russia) has claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s terrorist attack in London, the Sky News Arabia TV channel reported on Thursday.
The attack on Wednesday started when the assailant’s car ran into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. He then rushed towards the Houses of Parliament and stabbed the policeman before he was shot dead by police at the scene. The attack has left four people dead, including the assailant.
According to the police, the attacker was "inspired by international terrorism."
The London attack occurred exactly one year after the suicide bombings at the airport and a central metro station of Brussels on March 22, 2016, when 32 people were killed and over 320 injured.
