Russia in contact with UK
Russia will be staying in contact with the UK in the wake of Wednesday’s incident in London, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday, aired by the Russian Rossiya’24 TV channel.
"We offer our condolences and sympathy to those who were harmed, to the relatives of those who were killed in this aggressive attack," she said. "Our hearts are with the British people. We share their pain and once again reiterate the need for presenting a common front against this ill."
"We will not be just watching but will be staying in constant contact with the British officials through the Russian embassy in London so as to clarify all the circumstances and fates of Russians who might have been hurt in the incidents."
"Russia’s embassy to the UK has been in contact with officials of that state - the police - for clarifying all the circumstances and getting information about Russian nationals," Zakharova said. "We will appreciate constant contacts with the UK through the Russian embassy."
