MUNICH, February 18. /TASS/. Turkey’s Defense Minister Fikri Isik has reproached NATO for not fully meeting its commitments in the south east zone of the bloc where Turkey is located.
Speaking at the Munich Security Conference he said:
"So far NATO is not carrying out its obligations in its south-eastern flank, where, in particular, Turkey is located. We hope that this will change in the near future."
"NATO must not give up its defense and deterrent capabilities but these tasks should be extended not only to the east, but also on the southern flank," the minister said.
