MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Investigators say the truck deliberately drove into the crowd at a Christmas market in Berlin killing 12 people, city police wrote on its Twitter page on Tuesday.
It was earlier reported that nine people were killed in the crash.
Forty-eight people were hospitalized, some of them in a serious condition, the police said.
A truck has crashed into the crowd at the Christmas market in the central part of West Berlin ― on Breitscheidplatz near the Kurfurstendamm street. The incident occurred at 8:20pm. The truck drove around 80 meters through the market.
