Azeri and Armenian top diplomats discuss Nargono-Karabakh settlement
BAKU, December 9 /TASS/. The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Elmar Mamedyarov and Eduard Nalbandyan, discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis during a working dinner in Hamburg late on Thursday, Khikmet Gadzhiyev, the head of the Azeri Foreign Ministry’s press service, said on Friday.
The dinner, which took place on the sidelines of the 23rd OSCE Ministerial Council, had been organized by the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group, who have acted as an intermediary in the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.
"The sides exchanged views on how to continue the negotiations next year and discussed other items listed on the agenda," Gadzhiyev said.
Initially, the meeting on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, as suggested by France, was supposed to take place in a "two-plus-three" format with the foreign ministers of not only Azerbaijan and Armenia, but also with the top diplomats of those countries, who are the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, the United States and France).
