UAE set to maintain trusting dialog with Russia
UAE leaders highly evaluate mutually beneficial collaboration between Russia and the UAE, the Russian Foreign Ministry said
MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has confirmed willingness to maintain a trusting dialog with Russia, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday after talks held by Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov with the emirates’ leadership.
On December 6-7, Bogdanov was received by Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and also held talks with Deputy Foreign Minister Faris Al Mazrui.
"UAE leaders highly evaluated the reached level of the relationship of friendship and multi-profile, mutually beneficial collaboration between Russia and the UAE, confirmed Abu Dhabi’s firm willingness to maintain an active, trusting political dialog with Moscow and an energetic promotion of the entire range of the bilateral partnership, in particular in trade, economy, culture, investment, humanitarian sphere and other aspects," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"Attention was focused on development of the military, political and humanitarian situation in Syria, Yemen, Libya and Iraq, on the current state of affairs in Palestine along with the Arab-Iranian relations," the ministry said.
"Russia and the UAE confirmed their principled stances that the world community need to join efforts so that the crisis situations can be resolved as soon as possible through an inclusive, constructive dialog supported by resolute counteraction to extremism and terrorism," it said.
