Deposed Ukrainian president says Maidan leaders should testify in court as well
The questioning teleconference lasted for approximately six hours
ROSTOV-ON-DON, November 28. /TASS/. Leaders of the 'Maidan' protest movement of 2014 should testify in court, former President Viktor Yanukovich of Ukraine told a news conference in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don on Monday after a session of questioning by teleconference, in the course of which he answered questions from Kiev's Svyatoshino district court.
"The Maidan leaders should testify in court and it would be the right to make sure that the victims' families hear them," Yanukovich said.
Yanukovich gave testimony as a witness for defense. The questioning teleconference lasted about six hours.
Yanukovich said at the end of his speech he had not disclaimed the presidential powers. "And as for the rest, it's up to the Ukrainian people to decide," he said.
