Johnson doubts that today's Russia can be compared with the former Soviet Union
LONDON, October 13. /TASS/. British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said on Thursday it is not "entirely right" to talk about a new Cold War with Russia and called for interaction with Moscow.
"I don't think it's entirely right ... to talk about a new Cold War," Johnson told members of the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee.
"It [Russia] is doing many, many terrible things," Johnson said.
"But I don't think Russia today can be compared with the Soviet Union that I remember as a child. I don't think it is as much of a threat to the stability of the world as the former Soviet Union," the UK Foreign Secretary added.
