VILNIUS, October 12. /TASS/. Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador in connection with the incident over the Baltic Sea, the ministry said in a statement.

"On October 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Russia’s Ambassador to Lithuania Alexander Udaltsov. He was given a diplomatic note expressing concern over the Russian Navy’s activities… in Lithuania’s exclusive economic zone in the Baltic Sea," the statement says.

According to the ministry, "on October 10, Russia’s warships ordered some civilian vessels in Lithuania’s exclusive economic zone to change their course."

As the ministry noted, Lithuania’s concern over the "deployment of the Iskander missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads, to the Kaliningrad region" and the "Russian planes’ flights over the Baltic Sea", was also conveyed to Udaltsov.
