Czech Republic President Milos Zeman stressed his commitment to the expansion of all-round contacts between Russia and the West

PRAGUE, September 9. /TASS/. Crimea has become an integral part of Russia and its returning to Ukraine is impossible, believes Czech Republic President Milos Zeman.

"Russia is an integral part of the Euro-American civilization," ParlamentniListy.cz internet publication quoted him.

"Khrushchev made an unpardonable silly thing (by resubordinating Crimea, formerly a region of Russia, to Ukraine - TASS) and world politicians recognize today there’s no returning Crimea to Ukraine," Zeman said.

He ruled out the possibility of an armed conflict between Russia and the U.S. "I don’t believe that an armed conflict between Russia and the U.S. is possible either before the American presidential election or after it," he said, adding that Russia was siding with Europe and the U.S. in the struggle with Islamic international terrorism.

Zeman stressed his commitment to the expansion of all-round contacts between Russia and the West.

"I support the warming of relations with Russia," he said. "That’s easy to explain from the point of view of both economy and culture.".
