Obama discussed joint fight against IS, al-Nusra at talks with Putin

HANGZHOU /China/, September 5./TASS/. US President Barack Obama said he discussed with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday a possibility of joint fight against terrorist groups Islamic States and Jabhat al-Nusra, both outlawed in Russia.
The US leader said they had discussed conditions making it possible for the US and Russia "to focus our attention on common enemies, like ISIL and Al-Nusra".
On Monday, the two presidents met on the sidelines of a G20 summit in China’s Hangzhou. Talks started at about 8:10 am, Moscow time (1pm, local time), and continued more than an hour. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov hailed the talks, saying they first of all focused on Syria and Ukraine.
