Meeting of Palestinian, Israeli leaders in Moscow being considered
According to the Russian Foreign ministry, a Palestinian-Israeli summit in Moscow is under discussion
MOSCOW, September 5. /TASS/. The issue of holding a Palestinian-Israeli summit in Moscow is under discussion, Russian presidential envoy for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told TASS on Monday.
Bogdanov noted that he is currently in Israel where he has held a meeting with this country’s prime minister to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli crisis. "The work goes on, contacts are in progress. Different options of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement are explored, including personal contacts (between the Israeli and Palestinian leaders - TASS). The formats, dates and venues are discussed," he explained.
When asked whether a meeting of the Israeli and Palestinian meetings is possible, Bogdanov said, "These issues are discussed. "Vigorous efforts in all directions are made."
Bogdanov earlier said on the sidelines of the June international conference on the Middle East in Paris that Moscow is ready to provide a venue for contacts between representatives of Palestine and Israel.
