Kazakh president affirms world cannot solve key issues without Russia
The president praises Russia-Kazakhstan relations
SOCHI, August 16. /TASS/. Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev has insisted that there is a growing awareness in the global arena that it is impossible to address important international issues, including fighting terrorism, without Russia’s help. This he declared at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Nazarbayev, there are mixed feelings in Europe about anti-Russian sanctions.
"On the other hand, these sanctions help mobilize one’s own resources," he noted.
He emphasized that relations between Moscow and Astana are based on friendship and cooperation and continue to be stable amid instability in many regions of the world. "I am glad that Kazakhstan and Russia remain good neighbors and reliable partners in resolving all issues. That’s the way it should be done in a civilized world," he added.
