BERLIN, July 23. /TASS/. German special services had no information about the Munich gunman who killed nine people on Friday, Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said on Saturday.

"Special services had no information about this person," he said adding the 18-year-old had no links to international terrorism.

Besides, de Maiziere confirmed that in the attacker’s room "evidence was found that justify the fact the criminal was obsessed with mass shootings."

On Friday evening the 18-year-old German man of Iranian descent opened gunfire in a shopping mall in Munich, southern Germany, killing nine and wounding 27 more people. Afterwards, he killed himself. He had reportedly been in psychiatric care.
