U.S. Secretary of State said after meeting with his Russian counterpart he has understanding on what is to be done on the Syrian settlement track

LONDON, July 19. /TASS/. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Tuesday he has understanding with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on what is to be done on the Syrian settlement track.

"We both [with Lavrov] believe that we have understanding of the direction we are going in and what needs to be achieved. Our teams will meet shortly in order to continue to do that, in order to bolster the cessation of hostilities, in order to increase our capacity to fight against Al Qaeda, an Nusra, as well as fight back against ISIL," Kerry said after a meeting with Britain’s new Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.

He said Moscow and Washington "are still planning" concrete steps to give an impetus to the intra-Syrian peace talks.
