ANKARA, July 18. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has ordered combat aircraft of the country’s Air Force to patrol Turkey’s airspace, the Anadolu agency reported on Monday.

According to the agency, patrol flights are aimed at ensuring security and airspace control.

On the night to July 16, a military coup attempt was staged in Turkey by a group of insurgents. The main standoff was in Ankara and Istanbul. The Turkish leadership has announced that the coup was suppressed. According to the latest information, 290 people have been killed and about 1,440 injured in the clashes.
