Lukashenko expresses support for Turkish legitimate authorities

A group of insurgents staged a military attempt coup in Turkey on the night from Friday to Saturday

MINSK, July 16. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko sent an address to Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after a military coup attempt in that country, press service of the Belarusian president said on Saturday.

"The address offers support and solidarity with the legitimate authorities in Turkey," the press service said.

A group of insurgents staged a military attempt coup in Turkey on the night from Friday to Saturday. Bombs were dropped on the parliament building and the presidential palace in Ankara. According to Turkey’s prime minister, 90 people died, and 1,440 got injured.

Turkish authorities report 2,839 military detained after the coup attempt.
