ISE-SHIMA /Japan/, May 27. /TASS/. The western sanctions against Russia may be tightened if it is needed, says the final declaration of G7 summit.

According to the document, additional restrictive measures may be assumed aimed at raising Russia’s costs in case the country’s actions require this.

The G7 leaders also tied anti-Russia sanctions with the Minsk accords, saying that the sanctions’ lifting depends on implementation of the agreements.

However, the leaders noted the importance of continuing the dialogue with Russia.

The G7 Summit, assembling the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Japan and the US, is being held in Japan’s Ise-Shima National Park (Mie Prefecture) on the Pacific Coast and will end on May 27.
