KIEV, April 4. /TASS/. The city council of Chernovtsy, a city in western Ukraine, has banned signs at enterprises, offices and advertising spaces where the word ‘Russia’ or a phrase including this word would be used.
Local deputies banned boards, billboards, news boards featuring this word in any part of the city. The signs already containing the word ‘Russia’ will be dismantled under their ruling.
The document said this decision was taking into account "public demand, appeals from many nongovernmental organizations, numerous appeals from residents of Chernovtsy".
