Syrian president says liberation of Palmyra proves efficiency of Damascus’ strategy
Visits to Syria by Western delegations can help them learn the truth about the situation in the country and see the fallacy of the Western policy towards official Damascus, Assad said
ABU DHABI, March 27. /TASS/. Liberation of the city of Palmyra by the Syrian army proves the efficiency of Damascus’ and its allies’ strategy and demonstrates futility of the U.S.-led coalition, Syrian President Bashar Assad said on Sunday.
"Liberation of Tadmur (the Arabic name for Palmyra) is a major achievement. It proves the efficiency of the strategy of the Syrian army and its allies in the warfare on terror and demonstrates futility of the American coalition," he was quoted as saying on his official website.
