Ukraine initiates criminal proceedings against Serbian politicians for visiting Crimea

Eight Serbian politicians arrived in Crimea on October 26

KIEV, November 19 /TASS/. Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office has initiated criminal proceedings against a group of Serbian politicians who visited Crimea in October 2015, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office said on Thursday.

Eight Serbian politicians arrived in Crimea on October 26. The delegation was headed by Sandra Raskovic-Ivic, the head of the Democratic Party of Serbia which has 21 seats in the Serbian parliament. It also comprised Raskovic-Ivic’s deputy Milan Lapcevis; Head of the party’s Political Council Dragana Trifkovic; and representatives of the Serbian political movement Dveri (Doors) - Bosko Obradovic, Zoran Radojicic, Jugoslav Kiprianovic and Stefan Svrkota.

"The members of the Serbian delegation committed a criminal offence by illegally getting into the territory of the annexed peninsula," Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office said.
