Dozens of people were wounded.
There are about 100 people in Le Bataclan concert hall, seized by unknown persons, French media cited police sources as saying.
According to the latest data, police special units started storming seized concert hall, explosions and shooting are heard.
A state of emergency is introduced in France, borders will be closed, French President Francois Hollande said.
Events taking place in Paris are monstrous, Russia is sharing the anguish of the French, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mariya Zakharova said.
"I am reading horrible news from Paris. The death toll of explosions and shooting is growing. The hostage taking in a theater, which media report, is monstrous!" Zakharova wrote on her Facebook page.
